Biography

Davood Emdadian

Davood Emdadian (1944-2004) is a painter of nature and trees. Throughout his career, he used a poetic approach to record and represent the glory of nature, and displayed a profound and allegorical view of Iranian art in association with landscapes reminiscent of the nineteenth-century romantic style.

Born in Tabriz, he learned the basics of art at Mirak Fine Art School and held the first exhibitions of his works. Emdadian studied at the Faculty of Decorative Arts and immigrated to France to continue his education for a master’s degree in visual arts at Sorbonne University in Paris.
